“Our son, Oxavia Aldiano bin Harry Aprianto, has passed away, surrounded by family who accept his passing to God Almighty on March 7th at 4:33 PM. Safe journey to the light, my son,” read the family’s statement.
Vidi had been battling kidney cancer for the past six years, initially diagnosed in December 2019. He dedicated much of that time to treatment and fighting for his health.
The husband of Sheila Dara was first diagnosed with kidney cancer and underwent surgery in Singapore, where doctors determined the disease was aggressive.
He was initially declared cancer-free in 2020, but a routine checkup in 2021 revealed the cancer had returned.
By 2023, Vidi revealed that the cancer had metastasized, spreading to other parts of his body.
“Many people may not grasp that last year, this gift from God in the form of cancer had spread to several points, requiring me to have a ‘spa day’ appointment every three weeks. As time went on, I learned to make peace with my condition and be grateful for whatever God has given me throughout these years,” Vidi shared.
In July 2025, Vidi openly discussed his medical condition. As a result of the treatments, he experienced a significant weight loss of approximately 22 pounds.
He also admitted to feeling more fatigued due to the cancer, and recently shared that changes in his skin tone were likely a side effect of chemotherapy.
“For the past few months, my skin tone has somehow gotten much lighter all over. I suspect my new chemo medication contains glutathione… Don’t want to grow Edward Cullen, help!” Vidi wrote on his Instagram account.
