Six armed assailants carried out a violent carjacking against a driver in Talca. The victim was attacked, stabbed, and had their Mazda vehicle stolen at the intersection of Siete Oriente and Siete Norte streets. The Talca Investigative Brigade of the Investigative Police is searching for the attackers, with no arrests made and the car still missing.

Early Sunday morning, at least six armed individuals committed a violent carjacking against a driver at the intersection of Siete Oriente and Siete Norte streets in Talca, in the Maule region.

According to witnesses speaking with La Radio, the victim was approached while attempting to park their vehicle, at which point the assailants intimidated, attacked, stabbed, and stole their Mazda, fleeing in an unknown direction.

Officials with the Investigative Police of Chile, specifically the Talca Robbery Investigative Brigade, are currently investigating the incident. As of now, no arrests have been made and the vehicle remains missing.

The driver was transported to the regional hospital by the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU) due to the stab wounds and injuries sustained during the attack.
