A stunning performance of the Lithuanian national anthem by Violeta Tarasovienė has quickly grow a viral sensation after taking place during the final of the “Smart Way Karalienės taurės” women’s basketball tournament in Klaipėda over the weekend.
The special moment was shared online by Violeta’s husband, Vilius Tarasovas, and has already garnered over 130,000 views.
Social media users flooded the comments section with praise for the singer’s rendition.
“Nuostabiausias atlikimas!” – one commenter wrote, which translates to “The most wonderful performance!”
Another user simply stated, “Nuostabu klausytis, šaunuolė,” meaning “Wonderful to listen to, well done.”
Many commenters also felt this was the best performance of the Lithuanian anthem they had ever heard.
“Šaunu, turbūt vienintelė, kuri teisingai ir gerai sugiedojo Lietuvos himną… Pagarba,” one person shared, translating to “Well done, probably the only one who sang the Lithuanian anthem correctly and well… Respect.”
