JAKARTA — Vivo is set to expand its presence in the Indonesian mid-range smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the V70 Series on March 9, 2026. The novel line will focus on delivering an enhanced portrait photography experience.

The V70 Series expands Vivo’s V series portfolio with the introduction of an “FE” model alongside the standard version. The V70 is positioned as the “Festival Portrait Master,” featuring 10x telephoto zoom and an AI Stage Mode designed to capture detailed images from a distance – ideal for concerts, festivals and social gatherings.

The V70 FE, meanwhile, will serve as the “Travel Portrait Master,” boasting a first-for-the-V-Series 200MP camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This emphasis on portrait photography reflects a broader trend in smartphone development, as manufacturers increasingly prioritize features catering to social media and content creation.

According to Fendy Tanjaya, Product Manager at Vivo Indonesia, the “Dual Portrait Master” concept was born from an understanding of how today’s generation expresses themselves through photography.

“We wish to take the V Series to the next level. Not only deliver a stylish design, but too a more comprehensive and relevant portrait experience for various lifestyles,” Tanjaya said on March 1, 2026.

The V70 FE will also feature a substantial 7,000 mAh battery with 90W FlashCharge support – the largest battery capacity yet for the V Series – designed to support users’ on-the-go lifestyles without sacrificing a sleek design.

Visually, the V70 Series incorporates a Rounded-Corner Flat Screen with an Ultra Slim Bezel, measuring 1.25 mm on the V70 and 1.35 mm on the V70 FE. Color options include Sandalwood Brown for the V70 and Ocean Blue for the V70 FE, aiming to provide a premium aesthetic.

The devices will run OriginOS 6, which Vivo claims is more intuitive and responsive. Productivity features like Office Kit and One Tap Transfer are also included to streamline daily tasks, including content sharing and data transfer.

The V70 also incorporates 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 with a larger scanning area and faster response time. AI-powered features like AI Stage Mode and AI Travel Portrait are designed to enhance the content creation process.

Vivo is also celebrating a first-time collaboration in Indonesia with POP MART, featuring the Zsiga character with a “Bloom Under The Sun” theme. This partnership will include exclusive Zsiga Flip Cards with the V70 and custom watermarks on the V70 FE.

Alexa Tiara, PR Manager at Vivo Indonesia, explained that the collaboration is an effort to offer devices that are not only high-performing but also emotionally resonant with users.

“We see that today’s generation is not only looking for high-performance devices, but also a space to express themselves more personally and authentically,” she said.
