Vivo has offered a first look at its new flagship smartphone, the vivo X300 Ultra, which will debut globally with the new 400mm Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra to enhance its cinematic camera capabilities.

The mobile device manufacturer chose Mobile World Congress 2026 as the venue to preview its new smartphone, which is primarily focused on professional video recording, as well as photography.

Vivo announced that this Ultra model, the most advanced in the X series, will be launched internationally for the first time, though it will reach different markets throughout the year.

Vivo emphasized that the X300 Ultra will launch alongside the industry’s first 400mm telephoto extender, the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, which, as an accessory, improves mobile photography with professional-level optical performance.

Beyond being equivalent to a 400mm lens, this accessory is defined by its reach, advancements in optical performance, and stabilization, achieving “a balance between powerful zoom capabilities and the structure of the device itself,” according to the company.

The telephoto extender was developed in collaboration with professional photography firm ZEISS and meets APO image standards, with a 200MP optical output that delivers high quality “even with digital cropping of up to 1,600mm.”

Vivo also highlighted the gimbal-level optical image stabilization (OIS) and motion-tracking focus technology offered by the telephoto lens, which improves ultra-long-distance results on mobile devices.

NEW PROFESSIONAL VIDEO STABILIZER

Alongside the smartphone and lens, vivo showcased a professional-grade video stabilizer, designed to further enhance the recording capabilities of the X300 Ultra.

Specifically, It’s based on an expandable structure that incorporates multiple mounts. For example, it includes a quick mount and release ports for simple accessory integration. It also incorporates a dual grip to help record with more stabilization.

The stabilizer also features physical buttons for shooting and adjusting zoom, which improve the tactile experience by taking it to a more professional level. Added to this is a cooling fan with multiple intensity levels, which helps maintain smartphone performance during recording.

With this, vivo has reflected its intention to take a more proactive approach with the global launch of the vivo X300 Ultra, while reinforcing its vision of bringing its most advanced imaging capabilities to an increasingly wide audience.
