Volvo has introduced the EX30 Cargo in the United Kingdom, with local representation playing an active role in developing this commercial version, according to a report by Auto Express.
The EX30 Cargo maintains a similar exterior to the standard electric vehicle, with the primary changes being darkened rear windows. The key updates are found inside, where the removal of the second-row seating creates a 1,000-liter cargo space. The crossover can carry payloads of up to 390 kg.
The cargo area is equipped with a durable floor covering and tie-down points for securing loads. A partition with a window separates the driver and front passenger from the cargo space. To facilitate loading, the rear doors now open to a wider angle.
The electric van is offered with all of the standard model’s powertrains: rear-wheel drive versions producing 150 and 272 horsepower, as well as an all-wheel drive 428 horsepower modification. The latter boasts a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds, making it the fastest series-production van globally.
Battery capacities of 51 and 69 kWh remain unchanged, providing a range of between 209 and 294 miles (337 to 474 km) for the Volvo EX30 Cargo. Pricing for the Volvo EX30 Cargo starts at £36,000 (approximately €41,600).
