French transport company T3R Transport has taken delivery of a specially customized Volvo FH AERO, following a nationwide challenge launched by Volvo Trucks France in 2025.

The keys to the new truck were officially handed over on February 13th at the Volvo Truck Center in Reims to Fabrice Robert, head of T3R Transport, who was selected as the winner during a drawing held at the 24 Hours of Le Mans truck race. The vehicle’s design incorporates the colors of the winning lottery ball.

A Strategic Step for the Company

For T3R Transport, the delivery represents more than just a new vehicle acquisition. Robert highlighted the recognition of his driver, Alexis Dhobie, whose commitment and performance during the challenge underscore the value of the professional truck driver role. This comes as the transportation industry increasingly looks to attract and retain skilled drivers.

Dhobie expressed his excitement during the official handover, recalling the memorable experience at Le Mans. He stated he is eager to begin driving the new vehicle and continue the high levels of performance demonstrated throughout the competition.

Designed for Long-Haul Efficiency

The Volvo FH AERO is a flagship model from Volvo Trucks’ latest generation, designed with optimized aerodynamics to reduce fuel consumption. It also features advanced technologies focused on safety, comfort, and productivity for long-distance routes. The modernized design reflects the brand’s strategic shift towards greater efficiency and energy conservation.

A Challenge with Significant Commercial Impact

The AERO Segment Challenge, launched in 2025, aimed to support the nationwide rollout of the Volvo FH AERO. The campaign generated strong engagement from transport companies, with over a thousand demonstrations conducted across the country. Participating drivers achieved an average fuel consumption of 22 liters per 100 kilometers, validating the model’s performance. Volvo Trucks France’s commercial team views the initiative as a major accelerator, and the delivery to T3R Transport symbolizes the successful conclusion of a dynamic campaign.
