Wembanjama & Cunningham Named NBA Players of the Month – February 2026

San Antonio Spurs center Viktors Vembanjama and Detroit Pistons guard Keids Kaningems have been named the NBA’s Players of the Month for February, representing the Western and Eastern Conferences respectively.

Vembanjama dominated in February, averaging 22.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.5 blocked shots, leading the Spurs to an undefeated month with 11 consecutive victories. The impressive run solidifies the Spurs’ position as a rising force in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, Kaningems put up 25.4 points per game, along with 6.5 rebounds and 9.9 assists in 11 February contests. His stellar play helped the Pistons secure nine wins in 11 games, showcasing their improved form.

Other Western Conference players considered for the award included Donovan Clingan (Portland Trail Blazers), Luka Dončić (Los Angeles Lakers), Kevin Durant (Houston Rockets), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets), and Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers).

In the East, Jarrett Allen (Cleveland Cavaliers), Desmond Bane (Orlando Magic), Jalen Brown (Boston Celtics), Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns (both Fresh York Knicks), Brandon Ingram (Toronto Raptors), Brandon Miller (Charlotte Hornets), and Ryan Rollins (Milwaukee Bucks) were similarly in contention.
