Competition continues today at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, with Latvian athletes set to compete in bobsleigh, cross-country skiing, and biathlon. The action is being broadcast live on LTV7.

Latvia has already secured two medals at these Games: a silver for Elīna Ieva Bota in luge and a bronze for Roberts Krūzbergs in short track speed skating.
Jēkabs Kalenda, piloting with Lauris Kaufmanis, Matīss Miknis, and Māris Klāvs, will initiate the four-man bobsleigh competition at 11:00 AM local time in Cortina d’Ampezzo, with a second run to follow. Shortly after, at 12:00 PM in Predazzo, Raimo Vīgants and Niks Saulītis will participate in the 50-kilometer cross-country ski race in the classic style with a mass start.
Later in the day, the biathlon events will conclude in Anterselva at 3:15 PM, featuring Baiba Bendika and Estere Volfa among the 30 competing biathletes.
Today’s schedule also includes medal events in freestyle skiing acrobatics (team), ski cross, alpine skiing mixed team event, curling, speed skating, and women’s bobsleigh.
The 2026 Winter Olympics are scheduled to conclude on Sunday.
