Joke, a 52-year-old Dutch woman, has come forward to share the trauma of her relationship with an ex-partner who tattooed his name 250 times across her body. The act was committed against her will, using a device that the ex-partner purchased from AliExpress.
The psychological and physical aftermath of the ordeal has been grueling for Joke, who stated that she experiences “pain every day.”
Those attempting to assist Joke remove the markings have been left horrified by the scale of the abuse. Andy, a tattoo removal specialist, recalled his initial reaction to the forced tattoos, admitting, “I didn’t know where to look,” because the ex-partner’s name was tattooed everywhere on her skin.
This disturbing incident highlights a dangerous intersection of control and physical violation, where a tool of self-expression is weaponized to mark another human being as property.
