The women’s World Cup Super-G heads to Soldeu, Andorra, on Sunday for the second race of the weekend, with the competition heating up as racers vie for the coveted Crystal Globe. The race is scheduled to begin at 10:15 AM local time.
The battle for the Super-G title is intensifying with five of eight races completed. Sofia Goggia currently leads the standings with 320 points, holding a 20-point advantage over Alice Robinson. Cornelia Hütter is the top Austrian competitor, currently 171 points behind the leader.
Corinne Suter of Switzerland will be the first racer down the course. Hütter will be the first Austrian to start, wearing bib number twelve, immediately followed by Friday’s Soldeu Super-G winner, Emma Aicher (bib 13).
Ten Austrians to Compete
Mirjam Puchner will start with bib number 16, although Ariane Rädler is set to race with bib 20. Nina Ortlieb (25) and Nadine Fest (29) similarly secured starting positions within the top 30.
Julia Scheib (31) and Emily Schöpf (32) will also represent Austria on the slopes. Lisa Grill (38), Lena Wechner (40) and Anna Schilcher (47) complete the Austrian team competing in Andorra.
