Japanese TV Demonstrate Challenges Team to Build Electric Kickboard From Wood

A Japanese television program, “The Iron Arm!! DASH!!,” is taking on a unique challenge: constructing a fully functional electric kickboard using only wood. The project, dubbed “Wood DASH,” will be featured in an upcoming episode airing on March 1, 2026, according to Japan’s Nippon Television.

Actor Yutaka Yokoyama of SUPER EIGHT reportedly worked on the project, dedicating over 20 hours to the construction process, as reported by Yahoo! News. Veteran entertainer Shigetoshi Kashima will too appear in the episode, joining the team’s efforts.

This isn’t the first wooden construction challenge for the show. It’s the third installment in a series of “wood projects,” demonstrating a continued interest in innovative building techniques. The show’s dedication to ambitious, hands-on projects has made it a popular fixture in Japanese television, and this latest endeavor is sure to draw significant attention.
