Influencer Linnea Løtvedt’s participation in the Norwegian reality series “Kode rød” (Red Code) was cut short after producers determined she was at risk of relapse regarding past eating disorders and mental health challenges.

Løtvedt, 25, revealed on Instagram that she was sent home during the second episode of the NRK program. “I have some poor news. I’m going home today. Something has happened on the outside. I have to go home. I really want to be here,” she said, visibly upset, in the episode.

“I was sent home because the production thought I was at risk of relapse in previous eating disorders and mental challenges,” Løtvedt wrote on Sunday evening. She explained that producers had noticed she was eating and drinking little, but insisted she wasn’t experiencing a relapse or a decline in her mental health. “The food tasted bad, there was little available, and I needed some time to get into a routine.”

The news comes after the premiere of “Kode rød” on Saturday, February 22, 2026, which featured Løtvedt among its cast of participants. The show features Kevin Kildal, Rikke Isaksen, Terje Sporsem, Vebjørn Sand, Maren Teien Rørvik, Bjørg Thorhallsdottir, Selma Ibrahim, Knut Peder Gransæther and Emil Solli-Tangen alongside Løtvedt.

Reality television continues to grapple with the mental health of its participants, and this situation highlights the increasing scrutiny of production protocols and duty of care. Those struggling with eating disorders can find support at Rådgivning om spiseforstyrrelser (ROS) or by calling 22 94 00 10.
