Microsoft has announced the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass during the latter half of March. Among the most anticipated additions is “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” a game frequently credited with revitalizing the classic horror franchise.
Released in 2017, Resident Evil 7 marked a significant departure for the series. Following several more action-oriented installments, Capcom opted to return to the franchise’s horror roots. The shift to a first-person perspective, coupled with claustrophobic environments and a slower pace, was lauded by both critics and players. This move demonstrated a commitment to immersive gameplay and a return to the series’ core strengths.
The game’s success spurred a renewed interest in the Resident Evil series, paving the way for later hits like “Resident Evil Village.” The most recent installment, “Resident Evil Requiem,” launched as recently as February.
Other notable titles joining the Game Pass lineup this month include the critically acclaimed role-playing game “Disco Elysium,” the cooperative action game “Absolum,” and the unique gangster title “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.”
