Leading Turkish Oil Brand Yudum Acquired by Tiryaki Agro
One of Türkiye’s foremost cooking oil brands, Yudum, has been acquired by Tiryaki Agro, the companies announced on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The move expands Tiryaki Agro’s retail presence in the food sector beyond pulses and rice.
The acquisition encompasses Savola Foods Türkiye, a subsidiary of Savola Group and the owner of the Yudum brand. This deal strengthens Tiryaki Agro’s position in the retail market for edible oils, building on its existing portfolio.
Yudum and Egemden Brands to Operate Under Tiryaki Anadolu
Under the terms of the agreement, Tiryaki Anadolu, a subsidiary of Tiryaki Agro, has purchased 100% of Savola Foods Türkiye, which includes the Yudum brand and other vegetable oil brands. The transaction likewise brings Yudum Egemden olive oils into the Tiryaki Anadolu product line. This consolidation is expected to streamline operations and enhance market reach.
Following the acquisition, Afia International Company, a Savola Group affiliate, will hold a 15% stake in the consolidated structure of Tiryaki Anadolu.
In addition to Yudum and Yudum Egemden, Tiryaki Agro’s portfolio now includes Brillo and Cielo olive oils, which have a strong presence in export markets, as well as Sırma corn and sunflower oils. The product range is further expanded with the Sava and Vala brands serving the bakery and industrial oil segments.
Yudum Returns to Turkish Ownership
Süleyman Tiryakioğlu, CEO of Tiryaki Agro, emphasized that the acquisition is an important part of the company’s long-term growth vision. “We have brought Yudum back to a Türkiye-centered structure,” Tiryakioğlu said, adding that bringing strong and established brands like Yudum under a Türkiye-based group holds special significance for the company.
Savola Group CEO Sameh Hassan highlighted the strong connection that brands like Yudum, Egemden, and Sırma have with Turkish consumers. Hassan stated that the partnership with Tiryaki Agro demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to the Turkish market.
Tekin Mengüç, CEO of Tiryaki Anadolu, underscored the importance of combining Yudum’s retail strength with Tiryaki Anadolu’s supply chain and production expertise. “This combination will increase efficiency,” Mengüç noted, adding that consumers will benefit from a wider and higher-quality product range.
