Yvon Jaspers Faces Scrutiny Over Connection to Former Farmer’s Wife
Dutch television personality Yvon Jaspers is once again in the spotlight, this time due to recently revealed contact with Wilma Kersten, the ex-wife of Maurice, a farmer who appeared on the popular dating show Boer zoekt Vrouw (Farmer Wants a Wife). The revelation has sparked discussion in Dutch media, with some questioning the appropriateness of the connection.
Jaspers, 52, is best known as the host of Boer zoekt Vrouw, as well as the children’s program Het Klokhuis, according to her Wikipedia page. She has been a prominent figure in Dutch television for years, also appearing in series like Rozengeur & Wodka Lime and Knofje, de animatieserie.
Reports indicate that Jaspers maintained close contact with Kersten in recent times. This development comes after Jaspers was previously involved in controversy as the “mole” in the 2005 edition of the reality show Wie is de Mol?, where Marc-Marie Huijbregts correctly identified her.
Beyond her work on Boer zoekt Vrouw, Jaspers has also hosted Onze boerderij (Our Farm) and Onze boerderij in Europa (Our Farm in Europe), continuing her focus on agricultural life. She is currently working on a television program about Parkinson’s disease, following her brother’s diagnosis, as reported in June 2025.
In 2024, Jaspers was appointed a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau and serves as an ambassador for the Ronald McDonald Kinderfonds. The latest news regarding her connection to Kersten adds another layer to the public’s ongoing fascination with the personalities behind Dutch reality television.
