Doctors in Germany Still Unable to Reach Consensus on Treatment Plan
Kidney cancer is the cause of the urgent hospitalization of Bulgarian football legend Lyuboslav Penev in Germany, BGNES reports.
Just over 30 years ago, Penev faced a similar diagnosis. In the mid-1990s, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, forcing him to miss the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

Close friends and colleagues have shared that he is exhausted and has lost significant weight, leading doctors to struggle to agree on a course of treatment. His cancer is in an advanced stage. The team of nephrologists has not yet offered a prognosis for his chances of overcoming the illness. His wife, Kristina, and their two sons are at his side.
Meanwhile, numerous figures from Bulgarian football have sent well wishes to Penev and expressed hope for a swift recovery. You can read their messages HERE.
