European Giants Circle Levski Midfielder Akram Bouraas
Levski midfielder Akram Bouraas is rapidly becoming one of the most sought-after talents in the region, with interest from several major European leagues intensifying as the current window approaches.
The 24-year-old has caught the eye of the Greek champions, AEK, who are reportedly monitoring the midfielder’s progress closely. The move would potentially reunite Bouraas with compatriot Martin Georgiev, who currently features for the Greek side. However, AEK is not alone in its pursuit. reports indicate that French Ligue 1 clubs Toulouse and Lens have also identified the midfielder as a target.
The race for Bouraas’ signature has expanded further with the recent addition of Belgian side Standard Liège and Swiss club Basel to the list of interested suitors. This surge in demand underscores the player’s growing reputation as a dynamic presence in the center of the pitch.
Since arriving at Levski from MC Alger in late August of last year for a fee of approximately 400,000 euros, Bouraas has seamlessly integrated into the squad. Under the guidance of manager Julio Velázquez, he has evolved into a cornerstone of the team’s tactical setup. His impact is reflected in his consistency, having made 28 appearances this season and netting three goals.
While the increasing interest presents a lucrative opportunity for Levski, the club’s financial windfall will be shared. Per the terms of his original transfer, Levski is obligated to pay 30% of any future transfer fee back to his former club, MC Alger.
As more clubs enter the fray, Bouraas’ performances continue to elevate his profile, making him a focal point of the summer transfer speculation for the Bulgarian side.
