Cairo – Actress Hoda El-Etreby is sharing insights into her experience filming the upcoming series “Mana’a” (Immunity), describing it as a unique project with compelling human details. The series is generating buzz as it prepares to air during the 2026 Ramadan season, a highly anticipated viewing period in the Arab world.
El-Etreby revealed she was immediately drawn to the script, noting its clear social and human dimensions. She added that the series belongs to a category of work that relies on meticulous detail in its construction. Al Arabiya reports that she felt the story offered a fresh perspective.
Recent social media posts show El-Etreby alongside stars Hend Sabry and Ahmed Khaled Saleh on set. El-Etreby expressed her excitement about collaborating with Sabry, adding that “Mana’a” is based on a true story set in the 1980s. She highlighted the period’s unique atmosphere and rich human details. The actress will portray the character of “Noa,” a strong and spirited woman from a working-class background, in a drama that explores themes of humanity, and romance. The series will gradually reveal the reasons behind Noa’s story and how her journey unfolds, according to reports.
The production of “Mana’a” has also received support from prominent figures in the industry. Actor Ahmed El-Sakka recently visited the set to show his support for Hend Sabry, as reported by Okaz. This gesture comes after Sabry faced recent challenges, demonstrating solidarity within the Egyptian entertainment community.
The series is also gaining attention for its realistic storyline, reportedly based on files from the Egyptian Ministry of Interior. According to Al-Shuruq, Karim El-Omry, a key figure involved in the production, emphasized the series’ commitment to portraying a realistic narrative.
