Hong Kong singer Joey Yung has dismissed rumors of a concert in April, explaining that mounting a show requires at least six months of preparation to ensure a fresh and spectacular performance for her fans. The announcement comes as anticipation builds for her next stage appearance, a significant event in the city’s vibrant music scene.
“I believe I will be holding a concert within the year,” Yung said, adding that she hopes to stage it at the Kai Tak Arena. “I’ve already started to feel anxious and have nightmares about it, because everyone thinks it will be in April, and so many people have been asking me about tickets. There’s a feeling of a concert coming together, but right now I’m focusing on making more music.”
She also expressed a preference for a more modest run, suggesting, “Ideally, I’d just do one or two shows. It’s such a large venue, I don’t know how much more effort it will take compared to before. If I do go ahead, I’ll definitely seek advice from Nicholas Tse about his experience.”

Yung also shared her happiness for Charlene Choi, who recently confirmed her relationship. “That’s great! Is she happy? She says she’s very happy, and I believe her. I can definitely feel her happiness radiating outwards,” Yung said. She revealed she had already met Choi’s boyfriend at a concert by Ronald Cheung and had since met him for a meal.
“I’m so happy for Charlene and think her boyfriend is very tall, healthy, and has a great personality,” she added. Yung believes the term “age-gap relationship” is outdated, stating, “As long as you’re happy and shining, it doesn’t matter how many years apart you are. And you don’t need to worry about me – I’m not worried myself.”
She jokingly mentioned feeling pursued daily, with people surrounding her in shopping malls, but emphasized the importance of compatibility. “If it’s right, I’ll know. I follow my feelings, and if it feels right, previous criteria don’t matter. I’ll just go for it.”

Meanwhile, singer Hubert Chan attended the wedding of Yanny Chan and music producer Chan Kau-wai in Australia, an experience that inspired him to write half a song about the feeling of a wedding. “I hope it will become a wedding theme song that everyone will play at their weddings, and I can even play it at my own wedding someday,” he said. “But I don’t have a partner right now, so it won’t be happening anytime soon. I’ve already written half of it.”
Chan performed a song penned by lyricist Wyman Wong, “A Song for Two Billion Stars,” at the wedding. “If I get married myself, I probably won’t sing. I’ll ask a friend to do it instead,” he joked. He also noted that many other singers at the wedding had approached Wong for songs.

Chan confirmed that his contract with his agency still has some time remaining and that he hadn’t heard anything about Anson Lo’s potential transfer. “Transfer to what? The English Premier League? If he plays for a team, I’ll go watch him! I also haven’t heard anything about other MIRROR members planning to leave their companies. It’s a private matter, so I don’t ask about it.”
He also stated he hadn’t considered leaving his agency. “Like with weddings, I don’t think about my own things until they come up. Life is about going with the flow and doing what you need to do right now.” When asked if he would be concerned if other members left, he replied, “I don’t think so. Even some Korean groups experience this, but the team still comes together.”

Stephy Tang recently returned from a recharging trip to Tibet, where she visited for the fourth or fifth time. She flew directly to Lhasa this time and experienced altitude sickness, suffering from headaches and fatigue. She explained that her boyfriend couldn’t join her due to a lack of vacation time. When asked if her boyfriend was saving up vacation days for a wedding, she denied it, explaining they plan to travel to a more distant location together later.
Tang also expressed concern for Alex Law, who recently posted photos of injuries on social media. “I was shocked when I saw it. I told him to hang in there and take care of himself. He replied and thanked me for my well wishes, but I haven’t seen him looking particularly bad. Maybe he’s just a young person seeking direction. I know him as being very positive and well-behaved, and I think he’ll be okay. Of course, I hope he’ll talk to friends if he’s going through something and not keep it bottled up. I’ll continue to be concerned about his situation and will be there to help whenever he needs me.”
