Actors Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon have become secret confidantes on the hit tvN drama, “Witty Love.”

The November 18th episode of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama “Witty Love” (directed by Kim Ga-ram, written by Jung Yeo-rang, planned and produced by Studio Dragon, Studio & New, Artist Company) showed the continuing connection between Im Hyun-joon (Lee Jung-jae) and Wi Jung-shin (Lim Ji-yeon), who first met through a secondhand marketplace app. Despite their complicated real-life situations, the two have formed an anonymous friendship through honest conversations. As their unexpected connection deepens, viewers are eagerly anticipating where their relationship will go. Adding to the tension, Wi Jung-shin finds herself facing a potential lawsuit after Kwon Se-na (Oh Yeon-seo) leaked information about her investigation. Korean dramas continue to gain international recognition for their compelling storylines and high production values.

Im Hyun-joon couldn’t shake the memory of “Soulmate,” the fan he met through the secondhand app. The user, who claimed to also be a fan of his, continued the chat. Meanwhile, “Soulmate” – Wi Jung-shin – was investigating a scandal involving Kwon Se-na and Lee Dae-ho (Kim Jae-cheol), seeking the truth behind it all. She even requested an interview, leading to a face-to-face meeting with Kwon Se-na.

During a tense exchange, Kwon Se-na warned Wi Jung-shin that digging deeper into Lee Dae-ho’s past could jeopardize her career, saying, “If you dig any further into that man, it won’t just be your job on the line.” She then offered a cryptic smile, adding, “Let’s be friends, shall we? As a friendly gesture, I’ll give you a tip before my dating news breaks.”

Wi Jung-shin, attempting to verify the authenticity of a scoop provided by Kwon Se-na about actor Yoon Jung-ho (Jang Gwang), unexpectedly ran into Im Hyun-joon. Mistaking her presence, Im Hyun-joon found himself accompanying her on the assignment. The pair embarked on a long drive, finally arriving at their destination as darkness fell. While waiting for the subjects of the story, a fire alarm went off, leading them to capture images of Yoon Jung-ho and Dr. Yoo Eun-kyung (Lee Mi-do) evacuating the building.

After a long night of reporting, Im Hyun-joon and Wi Jung-shin continued to bicker, but a sense of ease had begun to develop between them. However, Wi Jung-shin’s concern about Im Hyun-joon’s relationship with Kwon Se-na prompted her to remark, “I saw her visiting you in the hospital.” The atmosphere immediately chilled.

Feeling exposed, Im Hyun-joon retorted, “You have a knack for bringing up things people want to keep hidden and making them uncomfortable.” Taken aback by his reaction, Wi Jung-shin cautiously apologized, but Im Hyun-joon coldly dismissed her, saying, “Ever since you showed up, my life has been falling apart. Let’s not get involved with each other again,” before turning away. Left alone, Wi Jung-shin couldn’t hide her disappointment.

Both Im Hyun-joon and Wi Jung-shin spent a restless night, grappling with their complex emotions. Im Hyun-joon, turning to the secondhand app, messaged “Soulmate,” pouring out his anxieties and revealing a vulnerable side he usually kept hidden – including his feelings about his mother. The two exchanged heartfelt messages, acting as secret confidantes, and even scheduled a voice call for a future transaction.

The following day, Wi Jung-shin’s report on Yoon Jung-ho’s scandal went live, causing an immediate stir online. While monitoring the public’s reaction, Wi Jung-shin informed Yoon Hwa-young (Seo Ji-hye) of her intention to leave the entertainment section. During a farewell celebration for Wi Jung-shin, a bombshell dropped: Yoon Jung-ho announced a press conference, declaring his intention to sue Sports Eunseong and Wi Jung-shin for defamation. At the same time, Im Hyun-joon was eagerly awaiting a call from “Soulmate.”

However, instead of Wi Jung-shin, it was Lee Jae-hyung (Kim Ji-hoon) who answered the phone, leaving Im Hyun-joon confused and shaken. The contrast between the growing connection fostered through anonymous online conversations and the unraveling of their real-life relationship, coupled with the looming legal threat for Wi Jung-shin, leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering what will happen next.
