CCTV Gala Set to Air February 16th, Featuring Wang Fei and Cai Ming
The highly anticipated 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala is set to broadcast live on February 16th at 8:00 PM China Standard Time, across ten television channels including CCTV-1, CCTV-3, and CCTV-4. The gala will likewise be available on nine radio frequencies and six recent media platforms, including CCTV News and CCTV Video.
This year’s gala will also be broadcast in 85 languages via CGTN (China Global Television Network) to over 200 countries and regions, reaching an estimated global audience through partnerships with seven major news alliances. The broadcast will extend to 400 media organizations across 181 countries and regions.
Among the confirmed performers, Wang Fei will be making her sixth appearance on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, although Cai Ming is set to return after a seven-year absence. Singer Zhou Shen will also be performing for the fifth time. The gala will also feature a performance by the U-Tree Robot, showcasing a martial arts demonstration, according to reports.
The stage design incorporates 5,584 flip modules to create an artistic installation of eight galloping horses. Wang Fei is slated to perform “The Moment We Shared,” according to recent previews.
The CCTV Spring Festival Gala, often referred to as the “Chunwan,” is a cornerstone of Chinese New Year celebrations, offering a blend of traditional and contemporary performances.
