Sweden Dominates Women’s Sprint at Milano-Cortina 2026

Val di Fiemme, Italy – Sweden swept the podium in the women’s classic sprint race at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Linn Svahn took gold, followed by teammates Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist, securing a dominant performance for the Swedish team.

Svahn crossed the finish line with a winning time of 4:03.05, leaving Sundling 1.59 seconds behind in second place. Dahlqvist rounded out the Swedish sweep, finishing 4.83 seconds off the pace. This impressive showing underscores Sweden’s strength in sprint cross-country skiing and sets a high bar for competition as the games continue.

Norway’s Julie Bjervig Drivenes and Kristine Stavås Skistad finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Julia Kern of the United States secured sixth place. Full results from the event are available here.

Val di Fiemme is playing a central role in the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics, hosting a total of 59 competitions – 21 Olympic and 38 Paralympic – and awarding 30% of the games’ medals. The location has a rich history in Nordic skiing, having hosted numerous major events including the Olympics, Paralympics, World Championships and World Cup competitions.
