Forward Edwar López has reportedly informed his teammates of his departure, according to journalist Miguel París.

Journalist Mariano Olsen previously reported that López was not in Santa Fe’s plans for the 2026 season.

“Edwar López’s contract with Santa Fe is expiring, and he is considering options both within the FPC and abroad,” Olsen explained.

While some Independiente Santa Fe fans may not be saddened by López’s potential exit, many will fondly remember his contributions to the club’s tenth league title.
