OnePlus is launching a new line of smartphones to kick off the new year. Dubbed the Turbo series, the devices are aimed at a younger demographic, particularly mobile gamers, and promise a strong price-to-performance ratio alongside substantial battery capacity.

Despite being a completely new line, the initial models will be named the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V.

OnePlus has been steadily releasing preliminary information about the upcoming series, and the numbering scheme will align with its existing Nord lineup. The company introduced the Nord 5 and Nord CE5 in 2025, and the Nord 6 models will arrive alongside the new Turbo 6 pair in 2026.

The OnePlus Turbo series will occupy the upper-midrange segment of the market. One model will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, while the other will utilize the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. The Turbo 6 will be the more powerful and expensive option, with the Turbo 6V positioned as a more affordable alternative. Even the more modest chipset is built on Armv9 architecture, ensuring strong performance across both devices, though the Turbo 6 will offer a performance edge.

Originally, reports suggested an 8000 mAh battery for the Turbo series. However, more recent information indicates OnePlus is planning an even larger 9000 mAh battery for at least one of the models, specifically targeting gamers. The company has not specified which model will feature the larger battery.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 will feature a triple-camera system with a 50-megapixel sensor. The Turbo 6V will have a slightly simplified camera setup, including a main camera and an ultrawide lens. While photography isn’t the primary focus, OnePlus aims to deliver a capable imaging experience.

The two smartphones will first launch in China on January 8th.

It remains unclear whether OnePlus plans to release the Turbo series internationally. The company hasn’t brought every model to Europe recently, but there is hope that the Turbo devices will receive a wider rollout.
