Temperatures are expected to rise across much of the country on Sunday, February 15, 2026, according to the General Authority of Meteorology. While mornings will be mild, conditions will grow hot during the day, cooling off again in the evening.
Wind and Suspended Dust
Active winds are anticipated in areas of the Red Sea Governorate, stirring up sand and dust that could reduce visibility on the northwestern coasts and in the desert of Matrouh. Dust is also expected to linger across northern parts of the country, extending into northern Upper Egypt, central Sinai, and exposed areas of Greater Cairo.
Low Clouds
Low clouds are forecast for areas from northern Egypt through Greater Cairo and the Suez Canal cities. These conditions may bring light, non-impactful drizzle to some regions. A disruption to navigation is also expected on the western Mediterranean Sea, particularly along the coasts of Sallum, Matrouh, and El Alamein, with wind speeds between 25 and 37 mph and waves reaching 6 to 9 feet high.
