Consumers are being warned to immediately discontinue leverage of certain Adirondack patio chairs due to a risk of collapse and potential injury. The Consumer Defense agency issued an alert detailing how to identify the affected models, which have been subject to a recall in the United States.
The chairs, marketed under the Adam RealComfort and StyleWell brands and manufactured by Adams Manufacturing Corp., were found to be susceptible to cracking and collapsing during use, posing a “grave risk to the safety of consumers,” according to the agency.
The affected chairs are made of resin and feature slat-style backs and seats. They were sold in a range of colors including blue, dark gray, navy blue, taupe gray, light blue, lime green, and teal. A key identifier is the code “ML837-15” located on the underside of the chairs, along with a manufacturing date of August 2025.
Approximately 6,100 units of the chairs were sold in the United States between August and October 2025. As of February 15, 2026, no incidents or injuries related to the product have been reported. However, the Consumer Defense agency is advising consumers who have purchased the chairs to stop using them immediately.
This recall highlights the importance of product safety standards and the potential financial implications for manufacturers when defects are identified. Adams Manufacturing Corp. Will likely face costs associated with the recall, including refunds and potential liability claims, though the lack of reported incidents so far may mitigate those expenses.
