In 2026, BlaBlaCar is unveiling a new visual identity, swapping its historical mascots and colors for a “True Blue” aesthetic. This rebranding reflects the company’s broader ambitions as it expands beyond carpooling.

BlaBlaCar, the global leader in ridesharing, announced a significant overhaul of its brand identity on February 16, 2026. The redesign, the company’s first in eight years, signals a strategic shift as BlaBlaCar aims to become a comprehensive travel platform encompassing carpooling, bus, and train services. The move comes as the company seeks to solidify its position in a competitive transportation market.

Since its inception, BlaBlaCar has revolutionized carpooling worldwide. The company has grown from a pioneering startup to a mobility benchmark in numerous countries. Today, BlaBlaCar is positioning itself as a one-stop shop for affordable travel, anywhere. “Our brand needed to evolve to reflect what we’ve become: a global travel platform,” explained Caroline Wilsford, BlaBlaCar’s Marketing Director. “We wanted an identity that is both unique and consistent across all our markets, while remaining true to our mission: making every place accessible to everyone.”

Why BlaBlaCar is Refreshing its Visual Identity in 2026

BlaBlaCar highlighted the scale of its community, currently operating in 21 countries. In 2025, the platform hosted 40 million unique members, facilitating 150 million trips globally. By optimizing empty seats in vehicles and adding bus and train options, the company estimates it saved 2.6 million tonnes of CO2 in 2024, underscoring its impact on daily commutes and environmental sustainability.

With this expanded reach, BlaBlaCar intends to establish itself as “the one-stop shop for traveling everywhere, at the best price.” Wilsford added, “We wanted an identity that is both unique and consistent across all our markets, while remaining true to our mission: making every place accessible to all.” The company stated it has evolved from a carpooling pioneer to a mobility leader in many countries, and wants its image to reflect this broader, multimodal reality.

“True Blue,” Accessibility, and a More Human Visual Language for BlaBlaCar

Central to the new BlaBlaCar visual identity in 2026 is the color “True Blue,” identified as #0071EB. The company believes this signature blue will infuse a modern energy into its overall graphic ecosystem. The color choice is also intended to improve readability for all users, including those with visual impairments, anticipating future standards for digital accessibility and enhancing the app’s usability, particularly on smartphones. The brand is also adopting new typography, GT Eesti, designed to provide greater clarity across all digital platforms.

The rebranding also marks a departure from BlaBlaCar’s historical graphic codes. The well-known illustrated characters, previously used to explain carpooling, are being retired. Instead, the brand is embracing a visual language described as “more human, sunny, and emotional,” aiming to celebrate the excitement of travel worldwide. The iconic quotation marks, representing conversation and the “B”s in BlaBla, “more than ever embody the importance of community.” Beyond representing the driver and passenger, these quotation marks are now positioned as “the anchor point of a fluid travel experience capable of connecting any point A to point B.”

The rollout of the new brand charter began February 16, 2026, on the company’s website, iOS and Android mobile apps, and across all brand communication channels. This new look is expected to quickly become familiar to users planning carpools, bus trips, or shared train tickets.
