The conflict between Iran and Israel has resulted in at least eight deaths across the Gulf region, with numerous others injured. In Bahrain, a man died on Monday, March 2, 2026, after being struck by missile debris. The victim was identified as an Asian national. A fire also broke out on a foreign vessel in the Salman Industrial Area, injuring two people.

Oman’s capital, Muscat, was also targeted, with an attack on a ship at the Sultan Qaboos Port. The vessel was struck by a drone, and falling missile fragments killed three individuals, including one Indian national. A total of 21 crew members were on board, with the remaining sustaining minor injuries.

Another drone attack occurred in Mahboula, Kuwait, on Monday morning, with residents reporting hearing sirens starting around 3:00 AM local time. Even as no casualties or significant damage were immediately reported, multiple reports indicate attempted drone attacks in several locations across Kuwait, including Mahboula, Ahmadi, and Mankaf. Two workers were injured when missile fragments hit an oil refinery in Ahmadi.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense confirmed that multiple U.S. Fighter jets crashed near a U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, with heavy smoke rising from the area. Authorities stated that all military personnel involved were safe and that injured U.S. Service members were transported to a hospital. A drone attack also targeted the Aramco Ras Tanura refinery, a major oil purification facility in Saudi Arabia, causing it to temporarily shut down.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) currently reports a stable situation. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke by phone with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the Iranian attacks in the UAE and other GCC countries. Three people died in the UAE on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2, 2026, after being struck by missile debris; the victims were identified as nationals of Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. One death was reported in Kuwait on Sunday.

Special flights departed from Abu Dhabi on Monday to repatriate individuals stranded at airports. Etihad Airways operated flights to Mumbai, Karachi, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dammam, Moscow, and Hong Kong.
