Ahead of facing Los Colchoneros, Barcelona arrives with momentum from a convincing 4-1 victory over Villarreal last weekend. Atletico, meanwhile, defeated Real Oviedo 1-0.
Pedri’s optimism stems from Barcelona’s 4-2 win against Atletico Madrid in March of last year. Barca rallied from a 0-2 deficit, scoring four goals in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory.
“Our first-half performance was the worst of the season. We didn’t do the things we usually do, with or without the ball. They overwhelmed us, but we have the opportunity for revenge on Tuesday,” Pedri told Gol a Gol on TV3.
“If we were able to come back and win the game in 20 minutes, why can’t we do it in 90 minutes? If there’s one team in the world that can do it, it’s us,” the Barca midfielder continued.
“We are a young squad, with a bit of recklessness, and that will benefit us on Tuesday,” he added ahead of Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid.
