Czech Actor Filip Blažek’s Marriage Reportedly Ends After 25 Years
The 25-year marriage of popular Czech actor Filip Blažek and Jolana Blažková is reportedly over, with allegations of infidelity surfacing as a potential cause. The news has quickly turn into a topic of discussion within the Czech entertainment industry.
According to colleagues in the industry, the couple has been living separately for approximately three-quarters of a year. Sources suggest Jolana may have become involved with a close friend and neighbor, Petr Bürger, a radio host at Rádio Prostor.
“Already from the autumn, Jolana was meeting with the moderator of Radio Prostor, Petr Bürger. For Filip, that was the last straw. He found out in December,” a source told Expres.cz.
Bürger, however, denied any involvement, stating, “I understand Mrs. Blažková, she is a neighbor. But we definitely are not a couple. If Jolana and Filip have separated, it really isn’t my fault. I know both of them, of course, as neighbors.”
Jolana Blažková herself alluded to difficulties in a recent social media post, writing, “I gaze happy, right? No, I’m feeling awful, but you know what? I’m doing well because my children are healthy, and so am I, and that’s the most important thing. So if we’re dealing with relationships and all that nonsense, then we’re doing great and it’s important to realize that.”
The couple share two daughters, Jolana and Filipa, and were married in 2019. The split comes as a surprise to many, given the apparent strength of their relationship.
The situation reportedly escalated after Blažek publicly defended his wife following a dispute involving Veronika Arichteva, where Jolana made critical comments about Arichteva’s appearance. Ahaonline.cz reports that Jolana wrote in a private message, “Tvl ty kozy – hrůza, děs. Cvičení ti nepomůže,” (roughly translated as “Those boobs – horror, dread. Exercise won’t help you.”)
While neither Blažek nor Blažková have officially commented on the situation, reports from Kafe.cz and other Czech media outlets indicate the marriage is likely over. The news adds to a growing number of celebrity breakups making headlines this year.
