Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Saturday, March 7, 2026, that U.S. Military forces were attacking a desalination plant on Qeshm Island. The facility is used to convert seawater into potable water.

According to Aljazeera, Araghchi described the U.S. Action as a “blatant and desperate act of aggression.” The attack has disrupted water supplies to villages across Iran.

“The water supply to 30 villages has been disrupted,” Araghchi said.

“Attacking Iran’s infrastructure is a dangerous step with serious consequences. The U.S. Is setting this precedent, not Iran,” he added.

In response, Iran retaliated by targeting a U.S. Military base located in Bahrain. Bahrain’s Interior Ministry reported that air raid sirens were activated and urged citizens to remain calm and seek shelter.

“The base of the American forces in Juffair, Bahrain, was targeted with missiles fueled by solid and liquid propellant,” stated a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
