Epica is hitting the road in support of their latest album, ‘Aspiral,’ with a tour that will capture them to 26 cities across 13 countries.
The symphonic metal band’s ninth studio album, ‘Aspiral,’ released in 2025, showcases their continued evolution of the genre that has captivated listeners since their debut. Frontwoman Simone Simons promises fans an even more spectacular show this time around.
Joining Epica on tour is Amaranthe, led by the dynamic vocalist Elize Ryd. The Swedish six-piece band’s most recent album, ‘The Catalyst’ (2014), delivers a potent blend of melodic metal with electronic elements and features three vocalists. Amaranthe has sold over half a million albums worldwide, demonstrating their broad appeal.
Ryd, 41, began her musical journey performing in clubs in Gothenburg, collaborating with various bands. During the formation of her own group with Olof Mörck and Joacim Lundberg, she was even considered as a potential replacement for Tarja Turunen in Nightwish.
However, that opportunity didn’t materialize, and Ryd became the singer and songwriter for a recent formation called Avalanche, which later changed its name to Amaranthe due to a naming dispute. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2011 and quickly gained traction in both Sweden and Finland.
The tour includes a stop in Budapest, Hungary on March 20, 2026, at Barba Negra, with Amaranthe and Charlotte Wessels’ The Obsession as well on the bill. Prague’s Forum Karlin (March 21, 2026) and Frankfurt’s Jahrhunderthalle (March 22, 2026) are sold out, but fans can still catch the bands at upcoming dates.
Other confirmed dates include Trondheim Rocks in Norway on June 7, 2026, Z! Live Rock in Zamora, Spain on June 13, 2026, and a performance with Iron Maiden at Middenvijver Park in Antwerp, Belgium on June 29, 2026. The tour extends into the fall with dates in Japan (September 14-15, 2026) and China (September 17-22, 2026).
Additional rock and metal concerts are also on the horizon. Die Happy will perform with Czech singer Marta Jandová at Palác Akropolis in Prague on March 25. Axel Rudi Pell is scheduled to play in ZlÃn on March 28, and Hypocrisy will take the stage at Sono in Brno on April 10.
