Missouri Abduction Suspect Apprehended in Arkansas
A suspect wanted in connection with an abduction in Missouri was arrested today in Poinsett County, Arkansas, following a multi-agency search.
Poinsett County deputies were dispatched to the area of Wray Lane and Hwy 14 after a cell phone belonging to the suspect pinged off a local cell tower. A Harrisburg police officer subsequently located a vehicle believed to be connected to the case at a Sonic Drive-In parking lot, though the vehicle was unoccupied. Authorities then learned from a witness that the suspect had been given a ride and dropped off on Bay Lane, with reported ties to the Lepanto area.
Law enforcement converged on the Lepanto area and arrested Blake Patrick on charges of possession of stolen property. He was taken to the Poinsett County Detention Center as the investigation into the original abduction, led by the Hayti Police Department in Missouri, continues.
