The Milan derby, contested between Inter Milan and AC Milan, took place at the iconic Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Both teams entered the match in excellent form, separated by just two points in the Serie A standings, adding extra intensity to the fixture.
Inter threatened early, with Marcus Thuram’s fourth-minute header forcing a save from Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

The Nerazzurri continued to press, and in the 27th minute, Francesco Acerbi’s header struck the woodwork, narrowly missing the target.
Maignan proved crucial for Milan again in the 37th minute, denying Lautaro Martinez’s powerful volley, which also hit the post.
AC Milan created a late opportunity before halftime, with a curling effort just wide of the Inter goal.
Thuram tried his luck for Inter in the 51st minute, but his shot lacked power.

PENALTY! Inter were awarded a penalty in the 69th minute after Thuram was fouled by Strahinja Pavlovic. Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up to take it, but Maignan brilliantly saved his attempt!
Inter continued to push for an equalizer. Federico Dimarco’s shot six minutes later was again thwarted by the impressive Maignan. Despite their efforts, Inter couldn’t find a way through, and the match ended in defeat.
The victory lifts Milan to second place in the Serie A table with 25 points from 12 games, trailing league leaders AS Roma by two points. Inter remain in fourth place with 24 points.
