Milan –
AC Milan is targeting reinforcements at center back during the January transfer window, with three players emerging as potential signings to solidify the heart of the Rossoneri defense.
Head coach Massimiliano Allegri believes his squad needs added strength in the central defense, currently facing a shortage of experienced options.
The situation is further complicated by an injury to regular starter Matteo Gabbia, leaving Allegri to rely on Stahinja Pavlovic and Fikayo Tomori as consistent performers in the center of defense.

Koni De Winter, brought in to cover for Gabbia, hasn’t yet impressed, leaving Milan with only 19-year-old David Odugo as a backup option at center back.
Allegri’s preferred tactical setup, utilizing a three-man backline, underscores the need for depth in this position, prompting the club to actively pursue new signings this January.
According to Football Italia, Gianluca Gatti is currently Milan’s primary target. Allegri is well-acquainted with Gatti’s abilities from their time together at Juventus.
However, securing Gatti from Juventus could prove difficult, as the Bianconeri are unlikely to let him go given their own defensive injury crisis. Juventus is also hesitant to strengthen a direct competitor near the top of Serie A.
Milan Skriniar represents another option. Currently playing for Turkish side Fenerbahce, Skriniar brings seven seasons of Serie A experience with Sampdoria and Inter Milan.
Eric Dier has also emerged as a potential alternative. The AS Monaco player has significant European experience, previously featuring for Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich.
