A breach of contract lawsuit involving allegations of fraud related to admissions to the Indonesian Police Academy (Akpol) is ongoing, with a hearing held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the South Jakarta District Court. The suit was filed by Farly Lumopa against actor Adly Fairuz.

This marks the second hearing in the case. If Adly Fairuz attends, the session will focus on reviewing documentation and then move into mediation.

Prior to the hearing, the plaintiff reiterated his response to claims that Adly Fairuz only received Rp300 million in funds. According to Farly, that amount was never included in the agreement signed by both parties.

“During negotiations and the drafting of the agreement before it was finalized, there was no mention of accepting Rp300 million. In fact, it was acknowledged that the funds received totaled Rp3 billion 650 million,” Farly told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Farly explained that the agreement was read aloud in front of all parties before being signed. At that time, no objections were raised regarding the stated amount of money.

“The agreement was read and signed by all parties, and there were witnesses present who also signed. If it was only Rp300 million, it should have been clearly stated in the agreement from the beginning,” he said.

He emphasized that the breach of contract lawsuit was filed because the actor is now denying and failing to uphold the terms of the agreement.

“That is why we filed the breach of contract lawsuit, because the agreed-upon terms are being denied and not fulfilled,” he stated.

Farly indicated that he remains open to resolving the matter through mediation, but only if Adly Fairuz is willing to fulfill his obligations as outlined in the agreement. The case highlights the increasing legal scrutiny surrounding celebrity endorsements and promises in Indonesia’s entertainment industry.

“There was no resolution before the initial hearing. Because there was no progress, we filed the lawsuit. We also need legal certainty,” he added.

As of now, Adly Fairuz has not appeared at the South Jakarta District Court. The breach of contract lawsuit remains ongoing.

Previously, Adly Fairuz’s side claimed to have acted in good faith regarding the nearly Rp5 billion civil suit. Through his attorney, Andy R.H. Gultom, Adly denied the allegations of fraud concerning promises to secure admission to Akpol, and stated that he had already returned a portion of the funds to the plaintiff.

“Our client has returned Rp500 million as a sign of good faith. In fact, that money was sent directly to the plaintiff’s account,” Andy said when contacted on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
