Korean skincare is no longer a niche trend, but a significant force within the beauty industry, influencing global skincare routines with its emphasis on lightweight textures, barrier-focused formulas, and multi-step regimens. Sephora is expanding its presence in this market with a new addition to its offerings.
The retailer is launching Aestura, a brand described as “the most dermatologist-recommended brand in South Korea,” according to the brand’s Instagram profile. This move strengthens Sephora’s position in the clinical K-Beauty segment, known for both innovation and a sensorial experience.

Aestura differentiates itself from the often playful image associated with Korean skincare by focusing on a more technical approach. The brand offers minimalist formulas, free of strong fragrances, designed for sensitive, dry, or acne-prone skin. A core principle is strengthening and repairing the skin barrier, a cornerstone of Asian cosmetics increasingly valued by consumers.
Among the key products is the Atobarrier Cream, an intensive hydration cream developed to fortify the skin’s barrier and alleviate discomfort. The line similarly includes the Atobarrier Serum, designed to deeply nourish and soothe, and the Atobarrier Hydrosoothing Cream, a lighter-textured option for those seeking immediate relief without compromising repair.
The addition of Aestura to Sephora’s portfolio reflects the growing demand for scientifically-backed skincare solutions. The partnership comes as the global skincare market continues to prioritize specialized products catering to specific skin concerns.
“We are so pleased to partner with AESTURA and introduce their derm-backed formulas exclusively to our US clients as part of our growing Korean skincare assortment,” said Brooke Banwart, SVP Skincare Merchandising at Sephora. “Our clients value effective, results-driven skincare, and AESTURA delivers on this by offering cutting-edge solutions specifically designed for sensitive skin that support barrier health. We appear forward to introducing AESTURA to our Sephora community and know that it will be a valuable addition to our assortment.”
Sephora continues to expand its Asian beauty section, and in-store diagnostic tools are available to help customers assess their skin’s hydration, oiliness, or sensitivity, enabling personalized product recommendations.
