The event has become the subject of political scrutiny following questions raised by journalist Agata Młynarska regarding President Karol Nawrocki’s public stance on the widely-supported foundation, and whether he would utilize WOŚP-funded resources for his family if needed. Młynarska directly appealed to the President to reconsider his position, highlighting the organization’s decades-long impact on Polish healthcare [[2]].

This year’s fundraising drive, themed “Healthy Bellies for Our Children,” will direct donations toward the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases in young patients. Organizers report that over 1,600 local headquarters and approximately 120,000 volunteers are participating in the effort. Jerzy Owsiak shared that online auctions are already seeing significant activity, with a final tally expected mid-February.
