Gabriela Michel and Eugenio Derbez’s Relationship

Gabriela Castrejón Michel and Eugenio Derbez were together for seven years and married in 1986, the same year their daughter Aislinn Derbez was born. Their marriage ended just a year later.

In an interview with Yordi Rosado, Aislinn recalled that her parents met “in a very strange way” because the actor “was a Ballet teacher” for Gabriela.

“She flirted with him, she went after him, and it turned out he wasn’t gay,” she remembered. “My mom swore my dad was gay.”

“What I know and is corroborated by both of them, is that they were each other’s great love, that first love that sweeps you off your feet, that’s what they were to each other,” she said.

Aislinn detailed that her parents “were together for five years” and became pregnant “after 3 years,” which she considers “not that fast.”

Despite this, the actress assured that they “always got along badly”: “I think they were never at peace because they have personalities that are completely… incompatible.”
