In 2007, Allison Stokke became a global name, despite not yet achieving significant success in pole vaulting. The reason? Her image went viral, sparking a worldwide sensation.

It began with a photograph taken of the then 17-year-old athlete during a competition in Fresh York. The image quickly spread across the internet, becoming a viral phenomenon. She was soon labeled one of the most attractive women in the world.

Initially, the attention, particularly from men, was pleasant and flattering for Stokke. However, the situation quickly spiraled out of control. The athlete began receiving inappropriate and often offensive messages with sexual undertones. This led her to view her newfound popularity in a completely different light.

In an interview with The Washington Post, she described the comments as humiliating. She emphasized that she had put in tremendous effort into her training, but her hard work was overlooked – people focused solely on her appearance. She called the entire situation “terrifying.” Meanwhile, German publication Der Spiegel labeled her “a symbol of sex against her will.”

Unfortunately, the publicity didn’t help her athletic career. She didn’t achieve significant success in pole vaulting and decided to change her professional direction. She pursued modeling and began collaborating with leading sports apparel and footwear brands, as well as a sports camera manufacturer.

Today, Allison Stokke is 36 years old. She is married to golfer Rickie Fowler and is a mother to their daughter. What does she seem like now? You can check out the latest photos – a comparison with a photo from 2007 is as well available.
