Annaberg-Buchholz is set to showcase the vibrant creativity of local artists with a new exhibition opening January 5, 2026, at the city’s library. The display, titled “Vielfältig” (Diverse), will run through March 27, 2026, and features artwork from students of the Atelier Rosa adult painting course.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into the passion and artistic expression cultivated within the Atelier Rosa program. For over 25 years, the Atelier Rosa has provided a space for art enthusiasts to explore various techniques – including oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, drawing, collage, and printmaking – under the guidance of instructor Sabine Sachs.

“Vielfältig” not only reflects the wide range of artistic styles on display but also the diverse backgrounds of the artists themselves. The course brings together individuals from all walks of life, offering a unique environment for creative collaboration. “The encounter on equal terms is a central component of the teaching – only in this way can creative processes truly unfold,” Sachs explained.

Visitors can expect to see a collection of works that demonstrate the artistic journeys undertaken by the participants over the past several years. The exhibition aims to provide an accessible and inspiring experience for art lovers of all levels. “Vielfältig” is an invitation to discover the world of painting with all your senses and be inspired by the creativity of the artists,” organizers said.

The exhibition will be open to the public during the Annaberg-Buchholz City Library’s regular operating hours, and admission is free.
