The 2025 edition represents a significant 40% increase in prize money compared to the previous tournament held in Qatar in 2021, which offered $25.5 million. Adding to the tournament’s prestige, the Arab Cup has now received official recognition from FIFA, meaning match results will factor into the international team rankings.
This substantial increase elevates the Arab Cup above the total prize money for the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21st to January 18th, 2026, which offers a total of $32 million. It also exceeds the $15 million awarded at last year’s Asian Cup, also hosted in Qatar.
The winner of the 2025 Arab Cup will receive $7.155 million, slightly more than the $7 million awarded to the champion of the Africa Cup of Nations. This prize is also over $2 million more than the $5 million earned by the winner of the Asian Cup.
The runner-up will take home $4.2 million, compared to $4 million for the second-place team in the Africa Cup of Nations and $3 million for the Asian Cup runner-up.
