Rumors of tension between Aurel Hermansyah and the Halilintar family have resurfaced, sparking speculation about her standing within her husband’s prominent family. The discussion gained traction after footage from a recent family event circulated online.
Ashanty, Anang Hermansyah’s wife and Aurel’s stepmother, addressed the circulating claims on Monday, February 16, 2026, offering a measured response to the public discourse.
“Aku gak ngerti berita itu, gak ada lah, masyaallah. Menurut aku gak (dicuekin), itu mungkin karena ada video yang ter… Ter… Ini gitu ya,” Ashanty told reporters in Senayan, Jakarta. (“I don’t understand this news, it’s not true, masyaallah. I feel it’s probably because there’s a video that… that… it’s like that,”)

She also stated she hadn’t yet had the opportunity to discuss the matter with Aurel. “Aku juga belum ngobrol juga tentang hal itu, dan gak ada di acaranya, jadi gak bisa komentar ya. Gak ngerti bahasanya gitu, maaf,” she added. (“I also haven’t spoken about it with her, and it wasn’t in the event, so I can’t comment. I don’t understand what it’s about, sorry,”)
Ashanty declined to comment further, citing a pressing meeting and concern that her words could be misinterpreted. “Aku bukannya gak mau jawab, tapi aku ada meeting penting banget ini mau berangkat. Yang kedua, kan aku mewakili loh, kita nih lagi ada lomba melawan negara-negara lain, doain ya,” she explained. (“I’m not unwilling to answer, but I have a very important meeting I have to go to. Secondly, I’m representing [something], we’re competing against other countries, wish us luck,”)
She reiterated her unwillingness to discuss an issue she hadn’t fully understood, suggesting a possible misunderstanding was fueling the speculation.
The rumors initially surfaced following footage from the tedak siten celebration for Ahmad Arasy, the son of Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid. Some observers noted Aurel’s positioning during a family photo, leading to speculation of a rift. Further fueling the conversation, Atta Halilintar, Aurel’s husband, shared a social media post referencing “self-respect,” which many interpreted as being connected to the situation.
Adding to the online buzz, Geni Faruk, Atta Halilintar’s mother, initially posted a caption referring to her grandson as “cucu kesayangan” (“favorite grandchild”) before editing the post.
