Asri Welas is navigating the dating world as a single parent, and fans are curious if she’s ready to open her heart again. The Indonesian actress and comedian has been keeping busy with a demanding film schedule that takes her abroad, but she’s not ruling out the possibility of finding love.
Responding to questions about her romantic life, Asri Welas admitted she isn’t completely closing herself off to new connections. She signaled she’s open to chatting and getting to know people, but emphasized that her boundaries have shifted significantly since her marriage.
“Hopefully, that will happen. It’s okay to just talk to people, right? But now the boundaries are different,” Asri Welas said when recently approached by media in the Blok M area of Jakarta.

Asri explained that finding a partner at this stage in her life isn’t easy. While her criteria were once simpler, as a mother of three, she now has a much longer list of requirements.
“When I was single and didn’t have kids, the list was short. Now, it’s from Cibubur to Cawang. It’s really long!” she joked.
The star of the popular Indonesian sitcom Suami-Suami Takut Istri stressed that any man interested in pursuing a relationship with her must be prepared to embrace her entire life, including her role and responsibilities towards her three children, who are now her top priority.
“So, anyone who likes me has to be able to meet all those requirements. It’s not that easy. So, accept it easy, no necessitate to rush. The most important thing is that the kids are healthy,” she said.
Regarding her relationship with her ex-husband, Galiech Ridha Rahardja, Asri Welas has limited communication to matters concerning their children. She stated she no longer communicates personally, feeling their lives are now focused in different directions.
“There’s no need for direct communication anymore. Our focus is different now, and so am I. We are no longer muhrim [not permissible for marriage],” she concluded.
Asri Welas married Galiech Ridha Rahardja in 2007. During their 17-year marriage, the couple maintained a private life and welcomed three sons: Rajwa Gilbram, Rayyan Gibran, and Renzo Gibrar.
In a surprising turn of events, Asri Welas filed for divorce at the Depok Religious Court on November 5, 2024. Following several hearings, the divorce was finalized on January 23, 2025, based on the judge’s decision.
Asri Welas previously revealed that a difference in principles, which had been developing for some time, and a lack of support from her ex-husband for her career in the entertainment industry were factors in their separation. She now has full custody of her three children and is focused on working to secure their future and education.
