ASRock has released a beta BIOS update aimed at resolving startup issues affecting some Ryzen processors, according to a recent company statement. The issue, described as a failure to boot rather than a complete component failure, has been impacting certain systems.

The company issued the 4.07.AS01 BIOS for all affected motherboards after identifying the root cause of the problem. The update also includes optimizations for memory compatibility and incorporates the AMD AGESA 1.3.0.0a microcode.

ASRock emphasized that the new BIOS versions are specifically designed to address system startup problems, including instances where a system fails to boot after a period of employ. Users experiencing these issues are encouraged to update to the newly released BIOS to restore normal system functionality.

For systems that are unable to boot, ASRock recommends utilizing the ASRock BIOS Flashback function to complete the update. This comes as motherboard manufacturers increasingly focus on providing robust recovery options for users experiencing firmware issues. The update signals the ongoing complexities of optimizing performance and stability with new processor generations.
