Assetto Corsa EVO has received a significant update, version 0.5, introducing two recent circuits and a selection of new vehicles for players, released on February 12, 2026. The update expands both single-player and multiplayer experiences, including the Daily Racing feature available through the Assetto Corsa EVO web portal.

The new tracks included in the 0.5 release are Watkins Glen International, featuring four different layout options, and another currently unnamed circuit. This addition of multiple layouts aims to keep racing sessions dynamic and engaging for players.

Developers are likewise preparing to launch a “Free Roam” mode in early 2026, allowing players to explore open-world environments. Initial areas will focus on roads and off-road terrain surrounding the Nürburgring circuit, with the ability to drive almost anywhere. This feature represents a significant shift for the racing simulator, moving beyond traditional track-based gameplay.

Recent updates have seen some challenges, with players expressing concerns over previous releases. Following the 0.4 update, developers released version 0.4.1 as a “quiet fix” intended to address issues with Ferrari vehicles and overall game stability. The release of 0.4 was initially delayed from November to December to allow for further refinement.

The development team has also added the Toyota Supra MKIV to the game. Assetto Corsa EVO is evolving to offer a broader range of driving experiences, from competitive racing to open-world exploration, signaling a commitment to expanding the simulator’s appeal. The move to include free roam functionality reflects a growing trend in racing games to offer more immersive and open-ended gameplay.
