Following her team’s elimination from the popular “Battle of Choirs” competition, Atlanta has publicly questioned the fairness of the voting process, suggesting regional biases may have played a role. the singer addressed her concerns via Instagram on Monday, sparking a conversation about audience engagement and local support within the show. While disappointed with the outcome, Atlanta also emphasized the positive experience of building new connections with fellow contestants, and offered a direct response to online criticism.
Following her elimination from a singing competition, Atlanta has spoken out, suggesting she believes the outcome wasn’t entirely based on performance.
The singer addressed her fans in a recent post on her Instagram account.
“It’s a shame not only to be one of the first to leave, but also because I think our first performance let us down. But yesterday, I felt satisfied,” Atlanta said, referring to her second performance with her choir, a rendition of “Swallows.”
Atlanta believes that participants from Vilnius often don’t receive the same level of support as those from other cities. The competition, which showcases choral groups, often relies on local audiences to drive votes and engagement.
“Either people aren’t watching this project, or they’re not interested. There just wasn’t that feeling of community support. I envy and am happy for those cities that have those communities,” Atlanta explained.
Despite her disappointment at being eliminated, the singer expressed joy in the connections she made with her team. Finding camaraderie and new friendships in the entertainment industry can be particularly rewarding.
“When people’s hearts connect, new friendships are born. I feel like I’ve found a lot of new friends. The older you get, the fewer new friends you make. Everyone revolves in their own social circles.
So it’s good to discover new, wonderful people to whom you want to say a lot of good things,” she said with a smile.
Atlanta also addressed those who offered criticism, as well as those who sent words of encouragement.
“To those who think we weren’t worthy, that I wasn’t a good leader and wasn’t even worthy of being one, get off the couch and try to do better than us yourselves.
Thank you to those who wish us and the other ‘Battle of Choirs’ participants good luck. I also wish everyone good luck.
I also received very nice messages from the other choir leaders. Life goes on. It has many surprises, projects, and new acquaintances in store for us. Learn to enjoy and live as I do,” the singer concluded.
