Aurora Gude (33) will not be returning as host of “Norway’s Smartest Reality Contestant” when the show returns on January 26th.

This time around, the program will determine who is “Norway’s Smartest Athlete,” and only Bernt Hulsker (47) will continue in the hosting role.

Gude stated that her departure from the show was amicable, with no drama surrounding the decision.

“Viaplay actually reached out to me to let me know I wasn’t being dropped,” she explained to TV 2. “It’s connected to the fact that this is a sports-focused concept, different from the usual ‘Norway’s Smartest Reality Contestant.’”

Despite not identifying as an athlete herself, Gude said she would have been happy to host the new format.

“I really enjoy being a host, and I think it would have gone even better the second time around,” she admitted.

Andrine Davidsen, a press contact at Viaplay, confirmed there was no conflict behind the change.

Gude hinted at a possible return to hosting in the future, revealing her dream gig: leading “Paradise Hotel,” where her career began.

“But there are two people there who are so good that I shouldn’t even dream of it,” she said, referring to Triana Iglesias and Martine Lunde.
