Plans for a modern season of the Turkish drama series Avlu, which concluded its run on Star TV after 44 episodes, have been position on hold.
Limon Film released a teaser on April 12th announcing the show’s potential return, with the message “The legendary series is returning.” Discussions were underway with Show TV to bring the series, which originally aired from 2018 to 2019, back to television.
VAHİDE PERÇİN HAD BEEN SENT A SCRIPT
According to reports, preliminary agreements had been reached with Ceren Moray, Nergis Öztürk, Su Burcu Yazgı Coşkun, Esra Dermancıoğlu, Ümmü Putgül, Ayça Damgacı, and Alican Yücesoy.

Most recently, Hayri Aslan, head of Limon Film, had reportedly sent a script to acclaimed actress Vahide Perçin. However, following the appointment of a trustee to Show TV, the signing process was not completed, and the series has now been shelved. Actors involved are now exploring other projects.
The news is a disappointment for fans of the series, which garnered a dedicated following during its initial run. Turkish dramas have gained increasing international recognition in recent years, and a revival of Avlu would have likely been welcomed by audiences both domestically and abroad.
